Our 62nd Annual Show
Details of the provisional show programme for 2008 are given below.
Judging
of a fascinating variety of Livestock classes, covering beef
cattle, sheep, pigs, and llamas, begins at 9.00
am, with prizewinners taking part in
the afternoon Grand Parade. Equestrian events commence at 8.00 am. There will be an impressive eight rings to include show jumping, showing
and donkey classes.
There is a packed day's programme
scheduled in the Main Ring, and the Countryside Arena has its own very popular series of traditional countryside displays. (see Countryside Arena Programme) A wide range of Rural Crafts, some of them very unusual, will be demonstrated around the showground throughout the day, and children should look out for Titan the Robot . They can also climb into the cab of a shiny new tractor ! There will be attractive shopping opportunities at the usual wide selection of Trade
Stands around the showground, in the Craft marquees, the tempting Farm Food arcade, and at the
well loved Womens Institute display. The day ends with the Lucky Catalogue & Lucky Leaflet Prize Draws.
